It all starts with
a roll of Ectocrome 400 Tri-X film,
a 35mm camera,
and an idea.
Using filters, lights,
and lenses can enhance
the shot but only use
the right amount.
Click, flash;
the moment will be saved
forever, stuck in time.
Taking a few photos,
when not trying too hard
might get a
perfect shot.
Next, the roll of film
needs developed
in a darkroom with red lights.
On RC Pearl Resein coated 3
light sensitive paper
the photograph is
printed using
the negatives.
But if the
light sensitive paper
is exposed to light
captured moment
will turn black as onyx.
Gently place the paper
in a vessel of
Kodak D-76 film developer
to bring it to life.
Kodak fixer solution is next.
It prevents the paper
from looking like a 1960s’
faded photograph.
Wash the chemicals
off with cold distilled water
and your moment
in time is finished.
Will forever be more than a memory?
